Pink Ribbon

The pink ribbon representing breast cancer came about in 1991 with the Susan G. Komen Foundation handing out ribbons in New York to people who had participated in a breast cancer run.  It became the the official symbol for breast cancer in 1992.

The pink ribbon represents fear of breast cancer, hope for the future and the charitable goodness of people who support the breast cancer movement.
