Let me explain our team name and how we came up with our logo. Stacy and I were on the phone after we decided to participate in the 2005 Avon Walk. We just kept tossing around different names, etc and we settled upon Boobs on the Move.
The logo on the other hand was something we came up with standing outside of Waldbaum’s “begging” for money. Again we were just tossing around some ideas and Stacy’s husband Mario came out of the store and drew what we were thinking on the top of a garbage can. I called my brother Chris, the artist and explained what we wanted and since 2006 our logo has been who I lovingly call “Booby Man”. We even have a copyright on him. He is on our shirts as well as hats and everyone on the walk who sees him just loves him.

This is my blog that will follow my progress in preparing for the Avon 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer.!!
In approximately 10 months I will be walking in the “Avon 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer” which I have been part of since 2005. Over those years I have walked more miles than I can count, had a panic attack, almost passed out from heat stroke, lost toenails, got blisters and have had the greatest time of my life.
This 2-day event includes a full marathon on the first day, 26.2 miles and a half marathon on the second day, 13.1 miles, that’s 39.3 miles and my personal goal this year is to walk every mile of it. I want to earn my 39!!
Over the next 10 months I will be training to walk in this amazing event and fundraising to meet my fundraising goal of $1800. My journey now begins!!
